Delicious food matched with great atmosphere. Dining room is comfortable and intimate. The bar is lively and hip. Thursday night live music is always a treat. Absolutely returning.

They have something called segedin goulash at this place. I regretted ordering it when it came, cause it looked like a big bowl of meat. I was expecting some vegetables or something. Anyways, I now get cravings for this on a regular basis. What the hell is in this shit? I wanna funnel it right into my mouth. The pork just falls apart in your mouth, and it has this amazing sauce...I dunno.
The restaurant also has really good pizzas. Sometimes the pizzas come burnt, but its all done in this big old wood oven and you can really taste it.
The menu is gigantic, like at a kelseys or montanas. but it's not a franchise (id ont think)

there are very different things that happen in a great restaurant and the fact that the two previous customers had to take part in the bad end of a bad day of a restaurant is simply part of a transition period. I am a manager at Schnitzels and things are getting better and then some. For the record our vegetables are never frozen and all of our ingredients are as fresh as you would cook at home. But please keep showing your love or disagreement with our team anytime you'd like. All feed back is great feedback. For your information the definition of a schnitzel Schnitzel (German pronunciation [ntsl]) is a traditional Austrian dish consisting of an Escalope coated in breadcrumbs and fried. It is a popular part of Viennese and Austrian cuisine. In Austria the dish, called Wiener Schnitzel (Viennese Schnitzel), is traditionally served with a lemon slice, lingonberry jam or cranberry sauce and either potato salad or potatoes with parsley and butter. Although the traditional Wiener Schnitzel is made of veal, it is now sometimes made of pork. When made of pork, it is often called Schnitzel Wiener Art (Germany) or Wiener Schnitzel vom Schwein (Austria) to differentiate it from the original. In Austria, the term Wiener Schnitzel is protected by law, and any schnitzel called by that name has to be made from veal.[1] There are also regional versions of Schnitzel, such as Salzburger Schnitzel, which is stuffed with mushrooms, bacon, onions, and other various herbs.

There is a debate as to where schnitzel originated. Some claim Milan, northern Italy, as cotoletta alla milanese, though others say it appeared in Vienna during the 15th or 16th century. According to another hypothesis, it was introduced in 1857 by Field Marshal Radetzky, who spent much of his life in Milan. The term Wiener Schnitzel itself dates to at least 1862.[citation needed] Variants of this dish are common around the world.

But yes it can be dry to most but that is why we have different sauces to try it out with. If you are a true lover of food you will not give up after the first try.

Step out and try a taste of Europe...

Not knowing what a schnitzel was, my wife and I thought we'd give it a try. I had the Jager schnitzel, she had the chicken, and we both had german potatoes. It was bland and flavourless and the potatoes were disgusting. Overall, we'll never eat there again, unless they shoot the chef, or at least hang him in a public spectacle.

I will never go back there. We had my father in law's 50th birthday party in there banquet hall. We confirmed with the manager that we were going to be 45 guests, however only 30 showed up. Now I can understand the owner being upset because 15 people didn't show up... but to come yell at us and berate us in front of everyone while we were all having supper.. it totatly ruined the party. It's a shame because the waiters were great, and even they felt embaressed at the owners reaction. As for paying for the 15 missing guests forget about it, The whole point of going there and having a good time was ruined..we did not have a contract so we weren't going to pay that. They even insisted that we pay a 50$ banquet hall fee, which was NEVER discussed or even mentioned during the 3 weeks planning, we paid it because we felt bad that we were nmissing 15 guests, but i think that was a mistake. Had we known about the 50$ banquet fee we would have went to PHILO's. Because we managed to bring in 30 people to their restaurant we have to pay 50$. They can keep their 50$, but they will never get another penny from me or the rest of the family

Im here on government training for four weeks and have eaten all over the city. This was by far the worst restaurant so far. 45 minutes to get my plate...my buddy didnt get served till 15 minutes after I got my dish...even worse it tasted like frozen vegetables and minute rice (salmon plate) I went with 4 friends and we all agreed we would never go there again. I simply dont know why this place gets good reviews...two thumbs down!

Best restaurant in the city. Business associate from Toronto(who I took there for lunch), called recently to get directions for a friend who was driving to Montreal, so he could direct him to Schnitzels. Outstanding in every way!

The food was absolutely wonderful! Had Portabella mushrooms for and app. and were out of this world... For dinner we had Fet. Alfredo with srip and scallops which was cooked to perfection. The staff was great as well as the atmosphere. Would recommend this place to anyone!
